KATHERINE WHEATLEY—NEW LIFE, NEW CD, NEW HEART, NEW SPIRIT
Katherine Wheatley Quick Facts
Reviews

Katherine Wheatley:

Katherine Wheatley I do folk clubs, folk festivals, house concerts, outdoor adventure shows, remote towns where the high school gym is the only venue with a stage. I perform solo or I bring along a musician or two to accompany me. It depends on the budget and what the presenter is looking for. If you're a presenter, feel free to e-mail me or my agent Robin. We can help you figure out what'd work best for your venue. If you're interested, please ask about scheduling a songwriting workshop the day of or after a show.

Wendell & Wheat:

Wendell & Wheat Wendell's pretty well my best musical pal. Our musical styles and songs, our singing and size are about as far apart as possible. Apparently, I'm "heartfelt" and "kind" and he's "irreverent" and "hilarious." It took a few years to make such opposing forces work together on stage, but it does now and we're pretty thrilled about it. One presenter said "An absolutely transcendent concert." Another wrote "She didn't leave a dry eye in the house. He didn't leave a dry seat." Click here for our EPK.

Youthsongs:

youthsongs Youthsongs is the songwriting programme I do at schools and summer camps for kids. Basically, I write songs and make a cd with all the classes at a school. I try to limit the projects to 3 or 4 a year depending on their length. The projects range from 1 to 3 weeks. There's lots about youthsongs on this site, or check out the electronic press kit.

Betty and the Bobs:

BettyBobs Betty and The Bobs is a 7-piece band. We do the odd torch song to keep us honest, but otherwise we're just trying to get feet tapping and faces smiling. Suzie Vinnick, Soozi Schlanger and I make up "Betty". David Matheson, David Woodhead, Wendell Ferguson and Rich Greenspoon make up the "Bobs". We play the theme nights at Hugh's Room in Toronto - Hallowe'en, New Years, Valentines. We've done 60th birthday parties, retirements, kayaking symposiums, medical school dances.
