I play mostly solo or in a double bill with Wendell Ferguson (Wendell and Wheat). Also play with Betty and the Bobs (7-piece Toronto band) and I do a show each winter called "Songs for the Snowy Season" with Tannis Slimmon and Jude Vadala - we call our group Boreal. And I love doing house concerts!

Here are my upcoming shows and workshops:

house concerts
Each year, I do more and more house concerts. They've taken me to far flung places like Steinbach MB, Olds AB and Gabriola Island BC. Maybe you're wondering "what the heck's a house concert?" It is simply a concert in someone's home. If that someone is you, then you need a space that'll hold 25 or more people. You book the artist (see below). You enthuse about that artist to your friends and neighbours (lie if you have to - especially if it's Wendell) and charge them ~20 bucks to attend. Best if you get your friends to pay in advance. That's the hardest part. Ask folks to bring a cake or a jelly salad for the intermission. Make sure you don't schedule the date on the same night as the Stanley Cup final.

If you're interested in presenting me or Wendell and Wheat, you can e-mail me directly or contact my agent Robin.
